Bragui is a family brand of high‑precision tuning machines founded by André, a mechanical engineer with deep expertise in advanced machining and precision systems developed for Swiss watchmaking, aeronautics, optical engineering, medical instruments, etc.
Rooted in the legacy of Portuguese guitar tuners— particularly ”Brandão & Guimarães” — Bragui was created to challenge industry conventions with a revolutionary approach and uncompromising standards.
More than a manufacturer, Bragui is a partner to musicians and luthiers, designing solutions that enhance and refine their instruments.
Launching with precision tuning machines for classical, acoustic, and electric guitars, Bragui blends engineering accuracy, mechanical reliability, and refined design.

The spindle and gear connect via a patented interface, ensuring perfect contact. This design compensates for wear over time, maintaining zero play throughout the tuner’s lifespan.
Rollers are available in different materials—such as aluminum, stainless steel, brass and titanium versions forthcoming —allowing musicians and luthiers to subtly influence the instrument’s response and tone.
Available in aluminum and brass, with titanium versions forthcoming, offering different weight, resonance, and aesthetic options.
A finely tuned 18:1 ratio provides smooth, controlled, and accurate tuning adjustments.
The tuner plate is machined from a single solid piece, drastically reducing tolerance stack‑ups between the shaft holes and the plate—unlike conventional multi‑component designs. This results in superior alignment, stability, and precision.
The gear is manufactured from a special bronze alloy with high hardness, ensuring excellent wear resistance. The material is naturally self‑lubricating, which reduces friction and wear while minimizing maintenance requirements.
The spindle (shaft) is made from stainless steel and incorporates a preloaded spring. Once installed and tensioned with strings, the system continuously presses the spindle against the gear, ensuring 100% tooth contact with zero backlash. This eliminates dead zones, prevents overshooting, and guarantees precise position holding.
An exclusive V‑shaped roller option allows the string to follow two distinct paths, preventing string contact, improving string organization, and enabling faster and more stable tuning of nylon strings compared to traditional rollers.
